THESE ten areas of Wales currently have the worst Covid rates in the country.
All of the top ten have seen Covid cases in more than 1 in every 100 people over the last seven days.
MSOA (middle layer super output areas) data released by Public Health Wales shows the ten areas that have some of the highest rates in Wales.
The latest weekly figures show that Bala & Mawddwy, in Gwynedd, has the highest Covid case rate in Wales over the last seven days.
The area recorded 85 new cases between November 8 and November 14, giving it a Covid case rate of 1,415.7 cases per 100,000 people.
The second highest rate is in Cardiff, in Radyr, Morganstown and Gaelod-y-Garth, with 106 new cases and a rate of 1303.2.
Despite the high rates of the top ten in the latest weekly Public Health Wales figures, the number of cases across the country is falling.
As such, first minister Mark Drakeford announced on Thursday that no changes would be made to coronavirus regulations in Wales, and the country would remain at Alert Level Zero.

Let’s continue to work together and take up the offer of a vaccine to keep Wales safe and open. pic.twitter.com/2bQ9h8YgHr
He said: “I want to thank you for your hard work, thank you for following the rules and taking steps to protect yourselves and your loved ones.
“Thank you too for saying yes to the vaccine and to the booster.
“We are now at the end of the latest three-week review, all the hard work means we can stay at alert level zero, we will not be making any changes to the rules, and we will not be extending the use of the Covid pass to hospitality.”
