Newport Playgoers start the New Year with a bang with their production of the fun-filled French farce "Some of My Best Friends are Husbands".
The play focuses on the womanising philanderer Celimare who has been carrying on a string of affairs with the wives of his best friends.
When he decides to settle down and marry the beautiful 18-year-old Emma, his friends turn up to the wedding - with hilarious results.
Add in saucy servants, secret shenanigans and dumbstruck suitors and you have the perfect recipe for a great night out at the theatre.
Translated by acclaimed Irish dramatist Hugh Leonard from the original by master farçeur Eugene Labiche, this play is full of fun and frolics - with plenty of ooh-la-la.
