Parts of Gwent have some of the highest Covid case rates in Wales.
MSOA (middle layer super output areas) date released by Public Health Wales has revealed that four areas in the region have a Covid case rate among the top ten per cent in the country.
Almost one per cent of people in Ebbw Vale North & Glyncoed tested positive for coronavirus in the seven days between November 25 and December 1
During that seven-day period, 69 new Covid cases were recorded in the area, giving it a case rate of 880.3 cases per 100,000 people, the worst rate in Pembrokeshire.
Ystrad Mynach & Nelson, Chepstow South and Magor & Rogiet, all also had some of the worst rates in Wales.

- Blaina and Nantyglo: 27 new cases; a rate of 284.6 per 100,000 people.
- Ebbw Vale North and Glyncoed: 69 new cases; a rate of 880.3 per 100,000 people.
