Welsh National Opera (WNO) is seeking a group of budding male singers to perform in its brand new summer production of Aida.
The opera, considered to be Verdi's most magnificent and spectacular work, tells the story of an Ethiopian slave girl and her secret Egyptian lover.
This new staging by WNO will star Welsh tenor Dennis O'Neill, recognised as one of the world's greatest Verdian singers in the lead male role of Radames, a military commander who struggles between his love for the slave girl and his loyalty to the Pharaoh.
As fans of Aida will know, the show is renowned for its epic choral numbers.
While WNO found the majority of its community choir in auditions that were held in October and November of last year, the company is still short of a few men to make up the tenor section of the choir.
Budding singers are required for performances on May 27 and 31 and June 3, 7 and 14 at Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff Bay, and June 17 and 21 at Birmingham Hippodrome.
For the audition, the tenors will be required to sing one song that they feel shows off their voice to its best.
