TWO Valleys motorists fell victim to youths who threw mystery objects at their cars.
Both attacks happened at around 8pm on Friday on the Cwm bypass.
The drivers, one male and one female, reported an object being thrown from the footbridge by a group of youths.
PC Mike Smith, of Ebbw Vale police station, said: "We were called at around 8pm by a woman from Beaufort who was driving her car down the Cwm bypass.
"As she drove under the new footbridge, some youths threw something at the car which smashed the windscreen.
"Luckily she was able to stop safely."
As the police arrived the youths scattered, but another motorist reported to police that his car was damaged in a similar incident at around the same time.
PC Smith said: "This is a very fast road and an incident like this could have had dire consequences."
He is warning motorists to take care and asking local parents to ensure their children are not involved.
Anyone with information about the identity of the culprits should contact PC Smith at Ebbw Vale police station on 01633 838111.
