MEMBERS of the Gwent branch of Leukaemia Research are meeting today to celebrate their fundraising achievements over the past 28 years.
The branch has raised £770,000 since it was founded in 1979, from a variety of events including the annual vintage car rally at Tredegar House each September.
The event, held at the Mayor's parlour in the Civic Centre, is a thank you to all the people who have worked to raise the money and the chief executive of the Leukaemia Research fund, Cathy Gilman, is travelling up from London for the occasion.
