WITH Valentine's Day fast approaching, residents in Torfaen are being urged to think green when spreading the message of love.
Torfaen council and Waste Awareness Wales are asking people to reduce the amount of waste we create by being a little greener and thinking of other ways to be romantic.
The council's waste manager Cynon Edwards said: "Celebrating Valentine's Day needn't cost the earth.
"Whether it's sending an e-card or surprising your loved one with a present that isn't heavily packaged such as a romantic trip or evening out, we can all do our bit to help reduce the amount we send to landfill each year."
