Dozens of children and teenagers performed in this Ebbw Vale Showstoppers three-night pantomime at the weekend and it was wonderful to see so much young talent on one stage.
From the moment the panto began, the audience was transported into the well-known fairy tale, with lots of twists and turns along the way.
The acting was of a good standard, especially considering the average age of the performers could not have been more than 11 or 12.
Particularly funny were the seven little dwarfs who, despite their tender years, already had very well-developed comic timing and strong voices.
And the hilarious panto dame Nora Natterjack and her sidekick little Sammy were also great favourites.
There were lots of well-rehearsed dance scenes and songs and, despite a few minor hitches and forgotten lines, for the most part everything flowed along nicely.
Lots of hard work must have gone into these performances, by both the children and their directors and backstage help, and they were well rewarded by a very appreciative audience
