ANOTHER couple, who moved to Downing Street 23 years ago, have been similarly captivated by its charms.
Angela Jones, 52, and her husband Graham, 65, have seen a lot of changes in the area, including their daughter Gemma moving out of their house and into a property over the road because she liked the street so much.
Mrs Jones said: I love it here, it's nice and quiet and years ago everyone knew everyone, now we mostly know the older people.
Our daughter was a swimmer for East Wales when she was younger, and she moved to Downing Street because she knows it's a safe, quiet place.' Mr Jones, a former trade unionist for the AEU (Amalgamating Engineers Union) in Newport said his wife would never leave.
He said: I've always said even if we won the lottery, she wouldn't move.'
