If you thought that panto season was over for this year, then think again!
For it is continuing inearnest at Blackwood Little Theatre this week, with this company's sixth year of performing pantomimes.
There are lots of familiar faces from previous years, as well as plenty of new children who have joined in the the fun with this large and enthusiastic cast.
Vic Mills is on good form as Dame Trott, and strides cofidently around the stage in his hilarious array of wigs, while Huw Rosser is very convincing as the panto baddie Mephistopheles, the giant's sidekick.
Steve Christmas and Richard Rowe provide loads of laughs as the hilarious PC Flipp and PC Flopp, and Melanie Denholmehits just the right note with her act as Fairy Disappointed - it's hard to be a fairy when you're forty!' With some great songs from Jill (Shelley Bethan Morgan), Jack (Matthew Curran) and Alice (Sarah Davies), a very inventive set with a wonderful expandingbeanstalk, lots of audience participation and some inspiring dancing - my daughters especially enjoyed the Jack in the Box routine - there is something for everyone in this production.
The show continues tonight, tomorrow and Sunday.
