OFFICERS investigating a spate of burglaries in the Newbridge area have arrested two men.
Two adult males were arrested and are currently on police bail pending further inquiries, after around nine burglaries since the beginning of January.
In the two most recent, two homes in Park Road, Newbridge were broken into on Saturday (26).
Windows were smashed to gain entry and property was taken, including electrical items jewellery and a small amount of cash.
A witness gave information to police after the incident and as a result two male adults were arrested and bailed.
Police are now calling on members of the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious incidents to police immediately.
Officers from Risca CID are also asking for witnesses to the most recent incidents come forward on 01633 838111.
