An AM has hit out at vandals who caused a blackout to 80 commercial premises for two hours on Wednesday evening.
Businesses in the Queensmeadow area were plunged into darkness from around 5pm to 7pm while Cineworld Cinema had to evacuate their premises after the break-in at an electricity substation on Clearwater Road.
Conservative member for South Wales East William Graham said: "It takes either tremendous effort or stupidity to enter these installations.
"Not only are they securely shut off, they have numerous warnings about the dangers of entering."
Fire fighters were required to use specialised extinguishers to tackle the blaze started by the vandals.
