CHILDREN in Caerleon have helped to choose new equipment for their local playground.
A legal contribution of £24,000 from a housing developer will be used for the Roman Way play area.
Wicksteed Play Scapes' scheme was preferred by youngsters. It will be used by children who live in the area and pupils at Lodge Hill Schools.
Councillor Ron Jones, cabinet member for recreation, decided to give the proposal the go-ahead.
