CHOIR NEWS: Malcolm Williams, of Abertilley Orpheus Male Voice Male Choir, has sent in this report: On Friday, January 25, the choir assembled at the crematorium to bid farewell to their chairman, Ken Mason.
The choir paid tribute to him the way they do best - with music. They sang Marching, which has become a favourite, and Elie Jenkins' Prayer.
Ken had been with the choir for a number of years, holding a number of posts, the last being chairman.
We wish to extend our heartfelt condolences to Ann and all the family at this troubled time, and offer any help and support that we can give.
We are thinking of you Ann.
It is sad to hear of the passing of Cheryl Morris, of the Gwent Gazette.
She helped the choir in any way she could, selling CDs and tickets for us. Any time there was anything to do, she was there.
The Abertilley Orpheus Male Voice Male Choir would like to send their condolences to Cheryl's family.
