SPORTS NEWS: Congratulations to the Year 8 netball team who won the second of their league netball fixtures on March 3, beating Tredegar 13- 3. The team are currently unbeaten and need to win their next two matches in order to win their league. Keep your fingers crossed! Player of the match - Shannon McCarthy.
Well done to Year 7 who were narrowly beaten 6-3, also against Tredegar. The team was missing three of its usual players and therefore this was an excellent result. Thank you to the girls who stood in at the last minute to help the team out - April Higgins, Ashleigh Forster and Kimberley Arnold.
Daniel Chesworth and Kathleen Cardwell will be representing south-east Wales at the Welsh Schools Cross Country Championships on Saturday. They will be competing for a place in the Welsh Schools team. I'm sure you will join with me in wishing them luck.
Congratulations to the Year 9 football team who beat Rougemont 5-0.
Well done to Year 8 rugby team who recently beat Bettws 69 -0, we think this may be a record win for a KS 3 team from Duffryn. Also congratulations to Year 7 who enjoyed a narrow victory against St Julian's 14 -12. Congratulations to all involved.
