GAER LUNCHEON CLUB: The Gaer Luncheon Club is looking for a volunteer for a very unusual duty. On Tuesdays weekly, a volunteer is wanted to do the shopping for the club.
This could be an ideal voluntary job for someone who enjoys shopping.
Reasonable expenses will be paid.
In addition, I have no doubt that the volunteer would be welcomed as a club member.
NEW YOUTH WORKER: The Gaer has a new youth worker, Carolyn Beddis. Carolyn says that she will be doing some outreach work on Friday evenings, as well as the usual club meetings, this way; the youth of the area will be able to meet her.
Carolyn has a wealth of experience and I am sure that the work put in by Heath and his co-workers will be carried on and even extended.
GAER COMMUNITY NETWORK: The centre will be running an Introduction to Office Applications course, starting on Monday, April 21, from 1pm to 3pm for 11 weeks.
The course will cover work processing, presentation tools, spreadsheets and desktop publishing. This course is ideal for those who have some experience of computers but want to learn more.
For more information and to book your place, contact the centre on 01633 784068.
This seems to be a very comprehensive course and very useful for someone who would like to work in an office environment but lacks the computer skills that are necessary.
One thing of which I am certain is that any course that is running at the centre will be in a very relaxed atmosphere.
