NIGHTINGALE COURT: There is an alteration to the events I printed last week. Thursday, April 17 was cancelled and transferred to Wednesday, April 23.
Thursday, April 24, is the quiz night, and you can bring your own drink.
Tuesday, May 6, is a trip to Clarks Village for the price of £8.
MAYOR'S CHARITY GALA EVENING: On Tuesday, April 15 we went to see this charity gala event. The different schools taking part were a credit to their teachers and themselves. We have such a great talent in these people, and the Vanessa School of Dancing was again giving their fabulous performances.
Each school did a different theme and the singing from some of these youths was great. The event is in aid of the Mayor's Charity, which this time is Newport Scouts and Guides.
DRATA (DUFFRYN RESIDENTS AND TENANTS ASSOCIATION): The next meeting will be Monday, May 5, at 7pm, Duffryn Community Centre. Please come along, and if you have any questions or if we can help in any way it would be good to see you.
