THOUSANDS of postal votes can be seen here ready to go out to voters in Newport.
Nearly 15,000 votes were sent by first class mail yesterday - a record number for local elections.
A council spokesman said they should be completed as soon as possible and sent back to the returning officer using the pre-paid envelope provided.
Each elector must sign the security statement and add their date of birth using a black pen.
"On no account should an elector hand their postal vote to any other person, even after they have completed it."
Council elections take place across Gwent on May 1.
