THE multi-award winning and internationally acclaimed Cwmbach Male Choir demonstrate their vocal talents at Cwmbran Congress Theatre on Saturday, May 10, at 7.30pm, when they visit the town for the first time.
The 60-strong choir will be demonstrating their talents for superb close harmony singing and enhancing their reputation for delivering uplifting hymns and songs in an unforgettable feast of music.
The choir has been very successful in the competitive field winning numerous prizes at competitions and Eisteddfods both in their native Wales and across the globe.
They have represented their country abroad on several occasions in competitions and conducted extensive tours in countries such as America, Canada, South Africa and across mainland Europe.
Over the years, the Cwmbach Male Choir has performed in many prestigious venues including the Royal Festival Hall, the Royal Albert Hall, the Barbican, St David's Hall, and numerous Cathedrals worldwide.
They have also shared the stage with many world famous artists including Paul Robeson, Sir Geraint Evans, Tom Jones, Shirley Bassey and Sir Cliff Richard.
The choir, which formed in 1921 and is based in Aberdare, has also performed at many rugby events.
Tickets cost £10 and £8 for concessions.
