A teacher who was suspended after starring in a raunchy video has been cleared to return to work - but there are fears she will not be respected if she goes back.

English teacher Sarah Green, 25, was suspended from her post at Stockport Grammar School in January.

The move was taken after a video was posted on YouTube which showed Miss Green playing a secretary who simulates sex with a builder.

The clip was a promotional video for a construction-wear company and was never shown on television but was distributed round building firms.

It was shot two years before Miss Green joined the school and governors decided there was no reason to take disciplinary action.

But they are worried that the scandal may affect how she is treated when she returns to work, and a meeting has been set up with the school's headmaster, Andrew Chicken.

Dozens of comments from pupils were left on the video-sharing website.

A statement released by the school read: "In accordance with Stockport Grammar School's disciplinary procedures, the circumstances of Sarah Green's appearance in a promotional film before she became a teacher have now been fully investigated by a panel of governors.

"They have decided that nothing has been disclosed to them which constitutes grounds for dismissal or other disciplinary action.

"It has recommended that Miss Green should return to the school's teaching staff but has expressed concern about the degree of support she will need in order to function effectively as a teacher upon her return.

"The headmaster will now discuss these issues with Miss Green and her advisers in order to be sure that she is able to make a full contribution as a teacher at Stockport Grammar School.'' The £7,000-a-year school was founded in 1487 and is an independent co-educational day school catering for pupils aged three to 18.

The junior school has 399 pupils while the senior school - where Miss Green teaches - has 1,052
