STANDING under the canopy of the huge spaceship tent, brought back memories of the last time I watched NoFit State Circus.
Their award winning show, ImMortal was a memorable performance and took place in the same travelling venue as this entralling offering.
The lively company performed tricks that commanded the strength and flexibility of the whole body, men and women manipulating themselves to fly through the air.
It was greeted with the sounds of gasps and applause from an audience that moved around as the action demanded.
There were moments when we stood breathlessly watching the slender figures elegantly suspended in the air or laughed at the clown-like girl deliberately hurting' herself.
The small band of performers changed the mood quickly and effectively with the aid of the live band, moving the audience and sets onwards.
Tabu is being previewed in Newport, as part of the Riverfront Theatre's summer season, before going on tour.
