A JEALOUS husband who discovered his wife had had a relationship with her employer "barged" into his home in Cwmbran and attacked him in the presence of his wife and young daughter.

Dean Leaman, 43 of Druidstone Road, St Mellons, admitted causing actual bodily harm to Kaivan Forouzan, harassment, and causing criminal damage.

Prosecutor Matthew Cobb told Cardiff Crown court how Mr Foruozan from Cwmbran owned a clothes shop in the Penylan area of Cardiff.

He employed Leaman's wife and they had a relationship.

But in July 2006 Leaman went to Mr Foruozan's home in Campion Close, Cwmbran.

Mr Foruozan and his family were awakened by persistent knocking.

Outside were Leaman and his wife.

The pair told of the affair and Leaman barged into the house throwing punches at Mr Forouzan whose wife tried to intervene.

His daughter telephoned the police.

In July 2006 there were harassing phone calls and last year Mr Forouzan caught the defendant on CCTV pouring brake fluid over two of his vehicles.

Leaman was sentenced to seven months imprisonment suspended for two years and made subject to a twelve month supervision order.

Judge Nicholas Cooke also imposed a five year restraining order banning him from contacting Mr and Mrs Forouzan and going to his shop. He was also ordered to pay costs of £850.

The Judge told him "Your behaviour was unacceptable whatever the provocation. It was way over the top. You can't behave in this way"

"You have the opportunity to put this sad business behind you. I hope you do that and keep away from this man"
