TALENTED youngsters at a Gwent school enjoyed being pop stars for the day.
Every pupil at Ysgol Gymraeg Cwm Gwyddon lent a helping hand in recording two Welsh language Cds, named "Caneuon Gwyddon" (Gwyddon Songs), and "Dewch I Ganu Cwm Gwyddon" (Come Sing with Gwyddon.) The Cds include a mixture of songs, from language learning tracks, to hymns and songs that the children enjoy singing in assembly.
The school will be selling the Cds and the money raised will go towards buying new instruments, books, and music for the school.
Teacher Laura Brooks organised the recording. She said: "We do a lot throughout the year with music and we wanted to have something that the children could always look back on.
"The children were just buzzing with excitement about the recording, they all went home on cloud nine that night!"
Mrs Brooks added: "I can't wait to hear the finished Cd, I'm counting down the days.
"They all did a brilliant job, I'm so proud of them."
BLOB: The school expects to be able to put the Cd on sale within the next fortnight. The Cds will cost £10 each and will be available at the school.
