A NEWPORT pub was evacuated after a machine broke down, causing a room to fill with smoke.
Fire engines were called to the scene to deal with the incident at the Tom Toya Lewis Wetherspoons, Commercial Street, after a bottle fridge broke down and began producing smoke, at around 5.20pm this evening.
150 people were evacuated from the establishment, which re-opened an hour and a quarter later.
