STROKE survivors and their families and carers in Gwent are being asked for their views on community services for patients, as part of a Wales-wide survey.
The survey is being carried out by the Stroke Association in Wales, the charity which seeks to help and support stroke survivors and their families, to make sure future services are tailored to the needs of those who will use them.
Stroke is the UK's third biggest killer and a leading cause of adult disability. Each year an estimated 150,000 people in the UK have a stroke, and more than 3,000 people in Wales will die each year from stroke.
Details of the consultation, which ends on May 16, is available online at www.stroke.org.uk/in_your_area/wales/index.html Anyone wishing to contribute may also get involved by contacting Sarah Newton on 029 2052 4412 or Nicola Crowley on 029 2052 4409
