SUSPECTED illegal immigrants were found in the back of a lorry as it made a delivery to a Crumlin business.
The five adult men were arrested by Gwent police at around 4.30pm on Tuesday, after they were found in the back of a delivery lorry about to unload at the Croespenmaen industrial estate -home of the Pot Noodle factory.
The men are believed to come from across North Africa.
A Gwent police spokesman said: "It is believed the vehicle they were travelling aboard had entered the UK via the French ports and had reached the end of its journey in Gwent."
The men were removed from the lorry by security guards on the industrial estate and held until police arrived.
They are now in police custody, while officials liaise with the Borders and Immigration Service.
