REVELLERS welcomed in the new year in style in the capital last night.
These pictures from Huw Evans Agency show that the party spirit was well and truly in effect in Cardiff as 2022 came to a close.

It was a more muted affair in Newport, with many perhaps deciding to travel to Cardiff instead.
The rain and the cost of living crisis also meant that many of us decided on a more low-key New Year's Eve this year.
However, judging by the pictures from Cardiff, there were still plenty of us willing to cut loose on the big night.
