The shortlist for the South Wales Argus Business Awards has been revealed.
The businesses and individuals from across Gwent will be at a glittering ceremony at the University of South Wales' City of Newport campus next month to find out who the winners are.
The awards, which are being held in association with the University of South Wales, attracted entries from a wide range of businesses and the judges had the difficult task to whittle down the entries to those who have been named finalists.
The finalists are:
The Business Person of the Year, sponsored by DNS: Shaun Hiscox, Lilly Rose and Ivy Casting; and Solar Buddies
Young Entrepreneur of the Year, sponsored by Newport Transport: Oliver Lewis, Dorian Payne, and Luke Formosa
Best Place to Work Award, sponsored by Cintec: Hawkstone Commercials, Innoflate, and Castra Financial
Family Business of the Year, sponsored by Parker and Co: Rob Santwris Flooring Ltd, Go Local Magazine & Print Ltd, and J&A Phillips Builders Merchants
Micro Business of the Year: Solar Buddies, Corporate Event Solutions, and E-Lets Property Ltd
SME Business of the Year: Pallet Recycling South Wales, Hawkstone Commercials, and So.Social Media
Start Up Business of the Year, sponsored by Torfaen County Borough Council: NDT South Wales Ltd, Castell Construction Ltd, and E-Lets Property Ltd
Diversity and Inclusivity Award, sponsored by Monmouthshire Building Society: Capital Coated Steel, David Allardice at Abergavenny Pride, and Pride in the Port
Customer Service Award: Lilly Rose Ivy Casting, Brow Bella, and J&A Phillips Builders Merchants
Sole Trader: Malfie & Cro, Jacobs Boutique xo - Rhiannon Lewis, and VIP Piercing
High Street Business of the Year, sponsored by Newport City Council: Rebecca Evans/The Beauty Therapy Clinic, Rob Santwris Flooring Ltd, and Treats N Play.
The Marketing Campaign of the Year, sponsored by LocalIQ, Business of the Year, sponsored by University of South Wales, and Lifetime Achievement Award, sponsored by Local IQ will all be announced on the night.
The awards evening, on November 16, will include a drinks reception and a panel discussion and plenty of opportunities for networking.
