POLICE are appealing for information to find a 12-year-old girl who has gone missing.

Ruby-Marie Jones-O'Connor from Bargoed was last seen at around 9.20am this morning near Pengam train station and officers are concerned for her welfare.

She is described as around 4ft 8in tall with long brown hair worn straight.

A Gwent Police spokesperson said: “Ruby-Marie was last seen wearing dark zip up hoodie, dark clothing and a pair of white Air Force 1 trainers and carrying a black Vans backpack.

“Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call 101 or send us a direct message quoting log reference 2300360718.

“Ruby-Marie is urged to get in touch with us to confirm she is safe and well.”
