A LOAN shark targeted “vulnerable people” and threatened to “smash up” the house of one of his victims if he didn’t pay up.
Horace Taylor, 73, from Pontypool pleaded guilty to unauthorised money lending between 2019 and 2021.
The defendant, of Crane Street, was jailed for three months but that sentence was suspended for two years.
It was suspended due to his “age and caring responsibilities towards his partner”, Cardiff Magistrates’ Court was told.
