NATIONAL homeware retailer Dunelm has confirmed the opening of its new Cwmbran store on Tuesday, October 31.
The store will open in the spot formerly held by Marks & Spencer at the Cwmbran Centre, creating 35 new jobs for store colleagues and five managerial roles.
To mark the Hallowe'en opening, customers are encouraged to visit the store in their "spookiest fancy dress" with Hallowe'en treats handed out to the best-dressed children on the day.
The store will open its doors at 9am and gift the first 50 customers a goody bag of Dunelm products. In addition to this, 20 golden tickets - ranging from £5 to £20 in value - will be hidden throughout the store for shoppers to find and redeem.
Welsh Cake Hut will also be moving from their usual spot at Monmouth Square to give away free Welsh cakes in store.
Store manager Sam Thomas said: "We're so excited to be opening our new Dunelm Cwmbran store. The team have been working incredibly hard over the last few weeks to get everything set up and ready, with some extra spooky Hallowe'en surprises in store.
"We can't wait to welcome the local community into our amazing new home!"
Dunelm will stock a range of products across bedding, outdoor living, home accessories, Made to Measure, haberdashery and kitchen and dining.
Sustainability will also be a central theme, with the Conscious Choice range offering products made from at least 50 per cent recycled materials, and a Textile Takeback feature allowing customers to return unwanted textile products to be recycled or redistributed.
The team will also be looking for a local cause to partner up with as part of Dunelm's commitment to support communities. Previous schemes include revamping hospitals and care homes and the Delivering Joy donations campaign.
People in Cwmbran are invited to join the local Dunelm Cwmbran Community Support group on Facebook where they can keep up to date and get information such as how to claim a free hot drink in the Pausa Kitchen Cafe.
