A Cwmbran postcode had a major mid-week boost after it was named a winner on the People's Postcode Lottery.
Twenty-two neighbours in the Cwmbran postcode of NP44 7JD, in the Hollybush area, got a massive surprise when their address won the People's Postcode Lottery on Thursday, October 26.
The win means each person playing with the postcode has won £1,000 for every ticket they play with. £26,000 has been won in total today in the postcode.
Eighteen of the neighbours have won £1,000 each, and four doubled their prize thanks to playing with two tickets, bagging £2,000 each.
The win comes straight after another Daily Prize win in Cwmbran on Wednesday 25 October, with three neighbours picking up £1,000 cheques in the Pontnewydd area with postcode NP44 1RA.
People's Postcode Lottery ambassador Matt Johnson offered his congratulations to all the Cwmbran winners.
He said: "It’s brilliant to see two Cwmbran postcodes winning this week and 25 people in the area having the chance to celebrate together.
“I hope they all treat themselves with their wins. Congratulations to Cwmbran!”
