A MAN was taken to hospital after a crash on the M4 yesterday afternoon.
Gwent Police received a report of the collision on the eastbound carriageway, between junctions 23 and 22, at around 4.45pm, March 11.
Officers assisted the Welsh Ambulance Service with traffic management.
Lane three on the westbound carriageway near the Prince of Wales Bridge was closed.
The collision involved just one vehicle, a van.
The driver - a man in his 40s - was taken to hospital for treatment.
A spokesperson for Gwent Police said: “We received a report of a road traffic collision heading east on the M4 between junctions 23 and 22, Chepstow, at around 4.45pm on Monday 11 March.
“Officers attended, along with the ambulance service, to assist with traffic management.
“The collision involved one vehicle - a van.
“The driver of the van - a man, in his 40s - was taken to hospital for treatment.”
