A number of emergency road closures are in place on two roads in Monmouthshire.
MJ Quinn, working on behalf of Openreach, has made an emergency closure along the road from the A48 to Dewstow Road and Five Lanes, Caerwent.
The closure is due to urgent repair of defective telecommunication poles that are affecting customer service.
A signed diversion is in place and it is anticipated that the closure will be in place (and including) Friday, April 26.
A spokesperson for Monmouthshire County Council said: “MJ Quinn, working on behalf of Openreach, have made an emergency road closure along the above route in order to urgently repair defective telecommunication poles affecting customer service.
“It is anticipated that the closure will be in place up to (and including) 26/04/24 but, will not be in place overnight. A signed diversion is in place, as attached.”
Meanwhile, in Caerleon, Morrison Water Service are working on behalf of Dwr Cymru Welsh Water and has made an emergency road closure along Tre Herbert Road, Llansoar.
The closure is due to urgent repair to a burst water main. It is anticipated that the closure will be in place until (and including) Tuesday, April 30.
A Spokesperson for Monmouthshire County Council added: “Morrison Water Services, working on behalf of Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water, have made an emergency road closure along the above route in order to urgently repair a burst water main.
“It is anticipated that the closure will be in place until (and including) 30/04/24. A signed diversion is in place, as attached.”
