An 18-year-old man of Cwmbran was taken to hospital after sustaining serious injuries in a two-way crash.

The incident took place on Edlogan Way, Croesyceiliog around 2.35pm on July 13. 

The crash involved two vehicles, a silver Mercedes and a silver Honda motorcycle. 

Police and the Welsh ambulance service attended the scene of the incident. 

The motorcyclist was taken to hospital for his serious injuries to be treated. 

His condition and his injuries aren't thought to be life threatening or life changing. 

The road was closed between Afon Terrace and St David's Road, but has now re-opened. 

Gwent Police first received reports of the crash on Edlogan Way, Croesyceiliog, around 2.35pm on Saturday, July 13. 

A spokesperson for Gwent Police said: "We received reports of a road traffic collision on Edlogan Way, Croesyceiliog, at around 2.35pm on Saturday 13 July.

"Officers attended, along with personnel from the Welsh Ambulance Service, and the collision involved two vehicles, a silver Mercedes and a silver Honda motorcycle.

"The rider of the motorcycle, an 18-year-old man from Cwmbran, was taken to hospital for treatment after sustaining serious injuries. His condition is stable and his injuries aren't thought to be life threatening or life changing."
