A horse who got stuck neck deep in a ravine has been saved by South Wales Fire and Rescue crews.
In images released, the fire service crew can be seen rescuing the horse with large animal rescue equipment.
At 8pm in a post on X (formerly Twitter), the South Wales Fire and Rescue Service said: "Neigh-d a hand? Crews from #Ely and #CardiffCentral saddled up and galloped to rescue a horse stuck in a ravine.Β
"After trotting out some large animal rescue equipment to assist, the horse was back on its hooves."
In a comment on their Facebook post, Norma Greene said: "Fantastic work, well done. You helped rescue my pony who was stuck in the mud in 1999.
"I felt so helpless and to see you all working so hard to get her to safety was just amazing, she knew you were helping her. The work you do is just incredible."
