A MAN who was wanted by police over an alleged assault in Cardiff earlier this year has been found.

Gwent Police confirmed they have found Elliot Fiteni, 23, who was wanted in connection with a "violent assault" in Cardiff in July.

Crimestoppers had recently offered a reward of up to £10,000 for information on his whereabouts.

The charity had warned he should not be approached and said he was believed to have fled Cardiff to avoid arrest.

Gwent Police announced on their social media channels on the afternoon of Wednesday, October 2 that he had been found and was assisting officers with their enquiries.

The force also thanked the public for their help with the appeal.
