An RSPCA vets clinic in South Wales is appealing for donations of blankets and sheets.
The clinic in Merthyr Tydfil focuses on treating animals rescued by the charity's frontline teams, animal centres and branches, as well as carrying out preventative work in the community.
Clinic assistant and supervisor Georgia Parker said: “We have a real shortage of every-day items due to having a large number of animals in the clinic who repeatedly need fresh bedding.
“We would very much appreciate any donations of sheets/towels or blankets. Unfortunately, we can’t accept duvets, pillows or cushions - but really hope the community can help us.
“In addition, if there was a supermarket or business who would be open to put a donation bin/basket up in their store we would be very grateful for any help going forward.”
If you can help with any donations, take them to The Willows, Abercanaid, Merthyr Tydfil or if you can help with a donation bin/basket please call 0300 123 0725.
The RSPCA is currently facing the biggest rehoming crisis in recent memory, leaving rescue centres and branches “full to bursting” with more unwanted animals coming into care than are being adopted.
To try and revive adoption rates, the RSPCA’ has launched its Adoptober rehoming campaign.
