THE M48 Severn Bridge is closed in one direction from this evening, November 5, until early tomorrow morning for "structural work".
The bridge will close from 7pm tonight and will remain closed until 6am the following morning, on November 6.
Details of the closure on the National Highways website are as follows: "M48 eastbound Junction two to Junction one Severn Bridge carriageway closure for structure maintenance."
Drivers are set to be diverted via the new Severn Bridge, otherwise known as the M4 Prince of Wales Bridge, which is likely to affect residents in the Chepstow and Caldicot areas of South Wales.
