A Newport mum managed to grab more than £200 worth of goodies after taking part in a ‘supermarket sweep’ style competition.

Snappy Shopper brought excitement to Spar Caerleon Road, in Newport, as stay-at-home mum Lauren Barrett raced against the clock in the Snappy Store Dash.

She had  60 seconds to grab as many items as possible and put them in her trolly, with the total cost covered by Snappy Shopper. Alcohol, tobacco and scratch cards were not included.

Lauren took home a trolly full of chocolates and crisps which came to £201.29.

Lauren said: “I loved it, I can’t wait to take the goodies back home and just in time for Christmas too.”

Lauren was cheered on by colleagues from the shop, who were excited to watch the event take place.

Lauren said: “I love the convenience of Snappy Shopper, I can stay at home and still get the same prices as I would in store.”
