So we’re all back at it, Christmas and New Year came and went in the blink of an eye and it’s like they never happened.
Although you know they did because there’s no money left in the bank account and you have a box set of "Heartbeat" that you’ve told Auntie Doris you’re saving "for a special occasion".
You may also be resolving to do various things in the new year.
The present Mrs. Moore has resolved to do more recycling this year.
I have tried to explain to her that it will just mean us paying more council tax as if she recycles more stuff then it’ll mean the council will have to pay more to ship it to China in the eco-friendly way that they do for it to be "recycled" there.
Sadly as with most of what I say it has fallen on deaf ears so we are currently washing empty tins before carefully placing them into the necessary bags.
Anything for a quiet life.
You may also be one of the millions who have started 2008 with a virus of some sort or other.
The radio station this week has been full of people coughing and spluttering and generally spreading germs to all parts with gay abandon.
Although if you think about it, now is the perfect time to "pull a sickie" even if you’re in the rudest of health.
With all the bugs around who would suspect if you try and pull a cheeky day or two off.
Although, if you try it, you didn’t get the idea from me.
