A new £2.5 million cinema complex is opening in Cwmbran at the end of the month.

The opening of the Vue cinema, in Glyndwr Road, will coincide with the release of the new Bond film, Quantum of Solace, on October 31.

Eight screens will seat 1,229 people, who will have a choice of standard seating, superior seating or giant bean bags to watch films from.

Two screens will have high definition digital projectors and regularly show 3D films.

Tim Richards, chief executive officer of Vue Entertainment, said: "We are delighted to open Vue Cwmbran, which features our latest thinking in design and development.

"We look forward to welcoming and serving the local community of Cwmbran for many years to come."
