Usk author Julie McGowan (pictured above) will be signing copies of her novels in the Cwmbran branch of W.H. Smith on Saturday October 18, from 10.30am.

Julie’s first novel, ‘The Mountains Between’ , which is set in Blaenavon and Abergavenny, quickly became a bestseller in regional book stores after its launch last year.. She has followed it up with a contemporary novel, ‘Just One More Summer.’ ‘Both books are selling well, and signings and book events since their publication have made it a very busy year,’ she said.

However, she is trying to complete her third novel, ‘Don’t Pass Me By’, which is a gain set in wartime Wales, in time for publication next spring.

‘It’s always nice when people come along to book signings, even if it’s only for a chat,’  she added. ‘ But I’m also hoping that signed copies of either book – or both! – will make interesting Christmas presents.’
