A Newport man must do 140 hours unpaid work after pleading guilty to supplying Class C drugs.
Kyle Rudge, 18, of Broadwood Close, Newport, appeared at Newport Crown Court.
He had pleaded guilty on August 1 to supplying cannabis between January 1 and November 30 2007.
