STUDENTS cooked up a storm as Coleg Gwent celebrated the launch of a new course.
Budding chefs cooked alongside Stephen Terry, head chef and owner of the Hardwick, Abergavenny, to celebrate the launch of the new City and Guilds diplomas in professional cookery.
Possible employers such as the Millennium Stadium, Newport Golf Club, Celtic Manor and Mike Morgan, managing director of Llansantffraed Court, attended to see the new chefs at work.
They cooked up a traditional full English breakfast and American style pancakes.
Mike Morgan, who is also a board member of the Abergavenny Food Festival, said: "As future chefs, it’s important we work closely with these students to further develop their culinary skills and give them the real life experience to prepare them for a long career in the industry.”
