Lotto comes home to roost for pigeon club
NEWPORT Pigeon Club has clocked up a £5,000 lottery grant.
Members will use the cash from Awards for All Wales to buy a vital piece of equipment.
Glyn Hazlewood, of the club, explained the electronic clock would automatically time the birds when they returned home.
He thanked GAVO (the Gwent Association of Voluntary Organisations) and Cllr John Richards who helped them prepare the application.
Newport Pigeon Club meet at the Oddfellows Arms in Duckpool Road.
