FOUR FRIENDS are facing their fears by spending the night in a haunted pub to raise money for Amber Hartland.
Amber Hartland, six, who lives with her parents, Nick and Lesley in Cwmbran, was born with infantile Tay Sachs, a rare genetic disorder.
Family friends, Sadie Cox, 31, Marae Hobbs, 28, Keith Hobbs 27, and Craig Robinson, 34, are planning an overnight stay at the Skirrid Mountain Inn, near Abergavenny - one of Wales’ oldest and most haunted pubs.
Ms Cox said: “Her parents are good friends of mine and they are running out of money for her treatment. At the end of the day, the hospital only provides her with a bottle of Calpol a month at the moment.”
Asda and B&Q have provided buckets for the group to put in pubs and public places across Cwmbran to collect donations.
Ms Cox said: “The man who owns the pub said we can go up and stay overnight free of charge in one of the most haunted bedrooms. We are all petrified, but the men are the worst. They thought it was a fabulous idea at first.”
The group will be staying at the pub on November 27.
