THE man found fatally injured at a business in New Inn yesterday was named as Kingsley Monk, 45, from Blackwood.
The 52 year old man arrested yesterday evening on suspicion of murder, attempted murder and false imprisonment remains in police custody being questioned today.
The suspect was arrested at approximately 8.30pm last night at Newport railway station.
Two of the three men who were injured and taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital have since been discharged. One man remains in hospital and is in a stable condition.
Police are not looking for anybody else in connection with the incident. Officers remain at the scene of the incident and a major investigati on is under way to confirm the exact circumstances of what happened.
A post mortem examination is under way to establish the cause of death.
