MURDER squad detectives revealed today they have recovered an iron bar from the company offices where a Gwent man died on Monday.
Officers were granted 36 extra hours to question a suspect after the death of company director Kingsley Monk from Oakdale.
Police are still hunting for a handgun believed to have been thrown away on the A4042 between Pontypool and Newport.
They confirmed that the four men were held hostage at Driverline247 in New Inn before the emergency services were called.
The men including Mr Monk were restrained with cable ties and threatened by a man wielding gun, before something was thrown over them.
It is not yet known what this substance was and if it was petrol.
Enquiries to establish the man’s cause of death continue.
