Darts league: Only two teams remain unbeaten after the opening two weeks of the ladies’ section of Abergavenny and District Darts League season.

Railway and Bailey A share top spot in division one with four points apiece after two victories, with Kings Head A their nearest rivals in third place.

Sadly, division one side, the Bridgend at Govilon, and second division team, the Great Western, are the only ones yet to get off the mark.

Race night: A race night held to raise church funds brought in £753 to be shared between St Mary’s and Christchurch. A soiree made £321 for Christchurch.

Fairtrade: The Fairtrade stall at St Mary’s Church during the Food Festival took nearly £140, a share of which will go towards church funds.

Neighbours: Support for a Neighbourhood Watch to cover Dingle Road in Abergavenny resulted in an excellent turnout at its inaugural meeting.

Anyone interested in joining a Watch or starting a new one can contact the Neighbourhood Policing Team on 01495 233917.

A member of the police team is available at the One Stop Shop at the town hall every Wednesday between 11am-2pm.
